“Pink Eos” is created from steel, paint and patina. I feel like my work clearly reflects coastal living. The atmospheric conditions here can sometimes feel pretty masculine with its heavy greys and subdued(dude) blues. But even on those dark, foggy winter days, there's a touch of the feminine - the sun peeks out as it sets and casts a pink glow through the clouds.
The process: Resists and paints are applied to the metal and allowed to dry. Patinas are applied next and allowed to work their magic in the voided paint areas. Each piece is then finished with a satin sheen and waxed.
