A lot of my work includes organic shapes and silhouettes as well as abstractions of color on metal. I've always been attracted to fine lines and the mysteries of pattern that occur in nature and wanted to explore how these shapes would reveal themselves as silhouettes on steel with my usual color palette and patinas.
The sacred geometry series is created by applying stencils and paints to metal and then allowed to dry. The pieces are then treated with patinas to bring out the natural variations that occur with rust and other reactionary finishes. Each one is sealed and waxed for durability. Steel mounted on wood panel. Custom colors and designs available.
