“Moscow Mule” is created from steel, paint and patina. I feel like my work clearly reflects coastal living. The atmospheric conditions here can sometimes feel pretty masculine with its heavy greys and subdued lightness. Staying in by a cozy fire sipping on a Moscow Mule, this is probably what it would like.
The process: Resists and paints are applied to the metal and allowed to dry. Patinas are applied next and allowed to work their magic in the voided paint areas. Each piece is then finished with a satin sheen and waxed.
